Exercise your right.  Approximately only 50% of the people in our nation vote.  In some countries people are dying for the right to vote, that makes me sad.  It also makes me proud of the F R E E D O M our country stands for and the principles is was founded upon.  I feel blessed to be an American and honored to cast my vote today 11.4.08.  I am excited because I am in the midst of history.  A possible black man as president or lady VP.  I am a liberal Republican...sorry all you demi's.  I voted McCain/Palin and liberally on all the Props.

Hyperventilate

So today one of the girls in practice hyperventilated...it was a little scary to say the least.  Her arm was ceasing and we all thought she was having a seizure, luckily it was just hyperventilation.  This happened right after we were doing a coach on one drill- where you had to get to 10 touches in a row in order to complete the drill.  To say the least it was tough!!!  Mari- our libero who I think is amazing was able to complete the drill, but shortly afterwards she collapsed and began ceasing.  It was a flexday at school, which meant trainers, faculty, and staff were all in a meeting.  So NO ONE was around to help this poor girl.  Finally we had security on the scene and help was received.  I give props to VANESSA who ran her little heart out to who knows where (somewhere on campus) to find Patty our trainer!!!  What a team player! go CAPTAIN!!! When she came back to the gym it looked as if she had just completed a marathon. lol.  Its funny now only because Mari is ok.  It makes you think about the risks involved in playing sports!!! life's short enough already.

18 Suicides!

Yesterday at PCC practice we ran 18 suicides (10ft line, mid line, 10ftline, end line) all under 28 seconds, with a 28 second rest. I thought I was going to die! AND it was at the end of practice! WHAT DID I SIGN UP FOR???? At least today we have NO practice. Thank God. I think we need to start winning again, b/f our coaches go completely insane.

ugh.

Hoo-Rah!! not Hoo-Raw!

I took 2nd place a the Gladstone J.V. tournament this weekend!  It was great to really see the girls come together and play as a team.  We were able to redeem ourselves against the San Marino loss last Thursday...we never should have lost to them!!!  It was a really good day until we lost to CHARTER OAKS (damn Serena Delgado!!!!).  I won the tournament last year, so my friend Serena wanted to swipe the title from me.  Well she did...how did the assistant overtake the master??? haha.  Just kidding.  Serena was my assistant all year in club last season.  I was happy for her, it just feeds the fire to take back the title.  Good job Serena and Charter Oaks.

I CAN'T

I CAN'T say I CAN'T in practice or I will be running my ass off.  Our coaches think we say can' t too much.  Honestly I don't ever hear anyone say it...but now i'm afraid I will say it and make everyone RUN!!!!  So now i'm pre-occupied with not saying I CAN'T instead of freakn playing volleyball. excellent.

My First Blog.

This is my first blog. its about me. life. <3.  Its been fun creatn this space.  I really don't know in what direction this blog will go...  Its probably going to take up some time, which I don't seem to have enough of to start with these days.  I invite you all to READ READ READ whats goin on in my life.  As you can see i don't really like to use punctuation properly if i don't have to or CAPITALIZATION for that matter.  Oh yea i recently learned how to create a heart with text...I think its adorable and clever!
