This is in LaCanada.  You can see the glow of the fires.  Yesterday, I had to move my stuff that I had at LaCrescenta to my new place in alhambra in like 100 degrees.  This smoke is not good for my asthma lungsssss :(  I hope this passes soon.  Our living room smells like smoke.  That can't be good.  I hope the fire is contained soon!

here there everywhere

today I went to five different Old Navy stores to look for warm-up tshirts for my Varsity team at Maranatha.  I was on the hunt for smalls.  I only need 1 or 2 more, heading to the burbank Old Navy in the morning.  I went to Pasadena, Santa Anita Mall, West Covina, Glendale and Commerce. I think I need to head to Teammates this weeks to start on the graphic work!!!  I think they will turn out cute though.  I'll post a picture when they're done

I also bought CATER some new outfits...my new second cousin!!  I feel more like an auntie though.  Got him some cute Osh Kosh b'gosh overalls!!!  He will be so cuteeee.

He is one week old in these pics.  We better get some new ones with him in my outfits I picked out!!!  I will send these off to Brandi this week.
love you Brandi!

Orchids

Grandma (Granny) and I had a fun day at the Orchid Show in Santa Barbara.  We got a late start after an estate sale in alhambra, where I got some records...yeep records.  Old time records, what I like most about them is the fact the albums are a work of art.  I may frame a couple, some day soon.  We went to the Brown Pelican for lunch which is now The Boat House.  I love that place, its on the water and so beautiful.  We could see the Channel Islands from the shore line.  Then we went to the show and took these pics.  After the show went shopping on State Street for a bit.  Granny picked up a new silver chain.  On the way home we talked about our NEW business that we might start.  Sorry can't tell you much about it yet, except that it has to do with orchids.  We thought up our business name, its super cute, we are checking to see if its taken yet...hopefully not!  Then I will tell you more about it.  I hear a recession is the perfect time to start a business.  Enjoy these Orchid pictures.  They are gorgeous.

Jillian Michaels

"Unless you faint, puke, or die...Keep Running"
One of my very favorite quotes.  Its brilliant, and can be carried over to all are lives.  There are so many times we want to give up at something and quit going down a tough path.  But the reward is in perseverance and hard work.  I've really come to love trainer Jillian Michaels.  I probably would hate to be trained by her.  I'm addicted to watching the biggest loser.  The transformations are my favorite part, I get happy to see the positive changes in individual lives.  Jillian is tough, but she is usually right.  I think it is particularly funny when she acts as a human weight loss tool for her contestants...looks kind of fun.
